The Waupaca Learning Center continues to receive awards for excellence in Behavior, Reading, and Math.  WLC was one of only three schools in the State of Wisconsin recognized with the Platinum Award for our continued growth in the areas of Behavior, Math, and Reading through the Wisconsin PBIS/RtI Network.  Our school continues to grow in these areas, thanks to the great efforts of our staff, and will continue to instill continuous growth in our students.

The Waupaca Learning Center is a beautiful elementary school located next to the Waupaca River near Highways 10, 54, and 49. There are approximately 650 students in our building serviced by approximately 65 regular and special education teachers, numerous teaching aides, three secretaries, two school counselors, a school psychologist, a school nurse, and two administrators. Our principal at the WLC Elementary School is Mr. John Erspamer and the associate principal is Mrs. Jody Pankratz.

We are a large school and can, therefore, provide a variety of services to our students. We have an Early Childhood program, 4 year old Kindergarten, full day kindergarten, a large IMC/Library, two music rooms, two art rooms, along with 1-1 Chromebooks in Grades K-4. We provide after school activities such as Comet Choir, Art Club, Mighty Milers, and Destination Imagination (DI). Our school is also open for community events such as scouting and sports. We have a very active parents' group who have been instrumental in providing a wide variety of support for the school. It's a great place to help our students develop our district wide expectation:
